What Is Self-Publishing?

When you self-publish, you own your book. You own all the rights, and you receive all the income from sales. Many companies call themselves “self-publishers”, but then have you sign royalty contracts. When you hire TBC PRESS, you pay for our services, then you own your book. All of it. We remain your publisher, but unless you hire us for additional services such as reprintings, new publications, or order fulfillment, your book is financially independent.

Who Does the Marketing?

Book marketing is a separate profession. TBC PRESS will assign your book a unique ISBN code, insert it into BOOKS IN PRINT, and make it Web-ready for ordering so that any book seller can locate your book. Sales and marketing remain your responsibility. Before signing with any publisher, find out exactly what they intend to do about marketing.
