Biofeedback
- A Logical Approach to Health

The
Biofeedback Center has been serving the Reno and Northern
Nevada area since 1976 logging over 40,000 clinical hours
in the process. Times have changed considerably since
then. For the first several years most people asked what
biofeedback was. Over time the questions have become increasingly
sophisticated which reflects not just the general acceptance
of biofeedback as a treatment option but also the involvement
of people in their own health.
Nestled in a converted private house on a quiet street
in Southwest Reno, The Biofeedback Center reflects Dr.
Green's infectious relaxed attitude toward life in
general. From the street as you approach the Center you're
greeted by a huge old catalpa tree and trumpet vines that
surround the building and grounds with their gentle link
to nature. Entering the front door that's always open
with the original "PLEASE COME IN" sign still
hanging in its place of honor you immediately experience
the soft warmth and special energy of this unique space.
Soft deep blue carpet, spruce paneling, soft chairs and
pleasant music welcome you as if you've stepped into someone's
living room. As you walk in you notice that the far wall
is a large glass sliding door that leads to a foliage-filled
backyard.
Although from the street The Biofeedback Center appears
to be a small country home, it's actually nearly 1200
square feet set up into an incredible nine rooms of carefully
designed professional spaces. Beyond the reception area
in which you are just as likely to find folks relaxing
with a magazine, old friends chatting, children playing
on the floor or one of Dr. Green's dogs looking for someone
to play with, there are two dedicated EEG
biofeedback treatment rooms, Dr. Green's private office
in which he does most of his consultations, a dedicated
EMG/relaxation biofeedback
treatment room, an incontinence
biofeedback treatment room, a kitchen, a copy room
and two bathrooms. Each has its own special flavor designed
to be both practical and comfortable. In the front EEG
biofeedback treatment room there's a magnificent mural
that's a wall-sized enlargement of a picture Dr. Green
took in a Massachusetts bog when he was teaching at a
boarding school there in the early 70's.
Overall The Biofeedback Center is a blend of extensive
experience in a pleasant environment addressing each person's
needs individually and personally.
